A wanted man in DeKalb was arrested Monday, Aug. 1 after he crashed his car into a utility pole.

During a search of a convenience store near Georgia State Stadium last week, Atlanta police confiscated a gun, money and drugs — including cocaine and marijuana.

Seven people were arrested at the Family Food Mart, located at 12 Atlanta Ave. SW. Police did not say whether any of those arrested were employees or owners.

The search warrant was executed Thursday after an investigation allegedly found drugs were being sold from inside the location.

The investigation was brought about by police observation and complaints from the neighborhood, police said Tuesday.

The following were changed with drug-related offenses: Daniel Berhanu, 42; Raymond Alexander, 60; Cornelius Hawkins, 18; Eric Davon Johnson, 24; Kenneth Cunningham, 24; Chunuwula Muvtaza, 30; and Robby Pass, 22.

The phone number listed for the store was not working Tuesday.
