"Rockspinner" , a 22,500 pound boulder, by Artist Zachary Coffin from Atlanta is set up at 10th Avenue and Peachtree Street.

The Midtown Alliance contacted Atlanta Artist Zachary Coffin to express interest in his piece and was awarded a three-year lease for the piece. JOHN SPINK/JSPINK@AJC.COM

There’s a new piece of art on Peachtree Street, and it weighs 22,500 pounds. Rockspinner, a boulder found in the Nevada mountains 12 years ago, now rests on a spinning base at the intersection of Peachtree and 10th Street. JOHN SPINK/JSPINK@AJC.COM
