With a week left of early voting, 14 percent of registered voters in Cobb County have already cast their ballots, according to preliminary numbers from the county elections office.

Saturday's 3,491 in-person votes brought the total to 46,507 and an additional 14,080 mail-in votes.

That means a grand total of 60,587 people have voted since in-person early voting started in metro Atlanta on Oct. 17.

Coming into the weekend, there had been 51,645 ballots cast.

By this point of early voting in 2012, 9 percent of the registered voters had cast ballots. In 2012, it was 13 percent, according to the elections office.
