Doctors evaluating a pedestrian who was hit in a crash Wednesday morning discovered he’d been stabbed several times before the accident, Roswell police said.

Lawrence Cornelius Range, 35, of Marietta, was in the middle of Ga. 120 about 5 a.m. when a driver in a black Acura struck him, police spokeswoman Lisa Holland said.

Range was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, Holland said.

Oneida Davis, the driver of the Acura, remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators, Holland said. Police are looking for an older model tan sedan that left the accident scene.

The crash shut down eastbound lanes of Ga. 120 at Willeo Road for more than three hours.

Anyone with information should call Det. P. Reid at (770) 640-4522.
