The lanes that feed westbound drivers from I-285 and northbound I-75 drivers onto local roads will be closed the next couple of nights.

The closures where those interstates meet are due to the Northwest Corridor Express Lanes project, said the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Those feeder lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday and during the same timeframe Friday to Saturday.

This is how detours will work during the closures.

Drivers heading west on I-285 will, take exit No. 20 for I-75 and turn left onto Windy Hill Road before making another left onto the entrance ramp.

The I-75 northbound ramp to those I-285 westbound feeder lanes will also be closed. Drivers will need to take exit No. 260 for Windy Hill Road and continue.
