The Georgia Department of transportation will close a portion of Roswell Road on Thursday night to repair a sinkhole.

GDOT says that crews will work overnight and work is expected to be completed by 7 a.m. on Friday.

To do the work, GDOT will close the southbound lane of Roswell Road between Oak Street and Oxbo Road.

GDOT advises drivers to avoid the area, but to reduce their speeds and remain cautious if they have to travel through the work zone.
