Johns Creek has closed on the purchase of an existing office building in Technology Park.

The move will consolidate city departments by putting City Hall and the police and fire departments under one roof.

City Council voted unanimously to purchase the property for $9,409,125 in December.

The city plans to renovate the 75,000-square-foot building, which sits on 7 acres at 11360 Lakefield Drive near LifeTime Fitness, according to a Monday news release.

A timeline for the move hasn’t been determined yet.

The current government office is located about one mile away at 12000 Findley Road.

Johns Creek government will vacate its current building and move nearly a mile away.
