Norcross PD phone lines back up after morning outage

Update (10:55 a.m.): Norcross Police Department phone lines are back up after a morning outage, Capt. Bill Grogan said. The AT&T outage also affected lines in Duluth, Snellville and Suwanee, but has been resolved, Grogan said.

Original story (9:51 a.m.): Phone lines at Norcross Police Department headquarters are down, but police services will not be affected during the outage, Capt. Bill Grogan said.

Calls to the department are being automatically routed to the Gwinnett County 911 center, which has radio contact with Norcross police, Grogan said. Officers are able to respond to calls as usual despite the outage.

It was not immediately clear Wednesday morning when the phones would be working again.
