College Park welcomes its third playground in conjunction with KaBoom! on Sept. 8 at 2900 Camp Creek Parkway. A planning meeting was held recently at the Residences of Central Park Apartments, where children and their parents collaborated to scope designs and amenities under consideration for the build.
Previous playground builds have taken place at the Bill Badgett Stadium complex, as well as the Tracey Wyatt Recreation complex.
Since 1996, KaBOOM! has collaborated with partners to build, open or improve nearly 16,700 playgrounds, engaged more than one million volunteers and served 8.5 million kids. KaBOOM! creates great places to play, inspires communities to promote and support play, and works to drive the national discussion about the importance of play in fostering healthy and productive lives.
