As a natural gas supplier for Lawrenceville residents, the city contracts for on-demand installation of new gas service and new gas mains. The Lawrenceville City Council recently approved a $460,000 demand service contract for labor and equipment to supplement Lawrenceville’s Gas Department work force to be used on an as-needed basis. Lawrenceville’s Gas Department will supply the materials. The work to be performed consists of the installation of new plastic gas pipes.

A second on-demand contract totaling $553,000 was also approved for the installation of new gas mains. This contract also covers labor and equipment to supplement Lawrenceville’s Gas Department work force. The work to be performed consists of, but is not limited to the installation of new 2-inch, 4-inch and 6-inch plastic gas mains.

In both cases, pricing has increased 2.4 percent as stipulated in the original agreement with Harrison & Harrison Inc.
