Bojangles' Famous Chicken 'n Biscuits is multiplying in Marietta.

In addition to the locations on Canton Road and Cobb Parkway North, a 3,800-square-foot outpost of the fast-food restaurant is slated to open at 2745 Powder Springs Road Southwest in December.

The new location — company-owned (as opposed to franchise-owned) —will mark the fifth Cobb County spot and the ninth in the Atlanta area this year, according to a news release.

Patrick Boykin, Bojangles' Regional vice president, said the company "looks forward to being a great community partner for many years to come."

“We’re excited to provide the local community with friendly service and our popular, freshly-made chicken, biscuits and fixin's," Boykin said in the release. "Additionally, we think our delicious breakfast, served fresh all day, every day, will be a huge hit."

The biscuit purveyor was founded in 1977 in Charlotte, North Carolina. After the Carolinas, Georgia has the most Bojangles' locations — 93.

The restaurant also operates in Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia.

The new location will also bring more than 30 full and part-time jobs to the local community. Bojangles' is actively hiring for management and hourly positions at the new restaurant. Qualified applicants should visit the Careers section on www.bojangles.com for employment opportunities.
