With early voting in Milton beginning this week, city officials have called a town hall meeting for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Milton Library to advise residents about referendums on this fall's ballot seeking voter approval for a $25 million bond issue for green space, and 75-cent special sales tax for transportation.

Kathleen Johnson, conservation project manager for Milton, will talk about the $25 million in general obligation bonds that would be used to acquire land for parks, trails and green space including conservation land, wildlife habitat and natural areas.

Fulton County officials will present information about the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. The TSPLOST would raise a projected $37 million over five years to pay for Milton traffic congestion relief, operational improvements, maintenance and safety, and pedestrian/bicycle work.
