A man was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after a car and a MARTA bus struck him, Atlanta police said.

The incident happened about 10:15 p.m along Joseph E. Boone Boulevard, Atlanta police spokesman Sgt. Lukasz Sajdak said.

The street was shut down between Woodlawn Avenue and Chappell Road for the investigation, he said. A witness told police the man was hit by a car and the bus, but did not say if both struck the victim at the same time.

The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

“At this time we do not know the condition of the patient,” Sajdak said.

The investigation is ongoing.
