A motorcyclist was killed in a collision Thursday night in Cobb County.

A 21-year-old Dallas man was killed late Thursday in Acworth when his motorcycle collided with a truck that turned into his path, Cobb County police said.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m., Dustin Sistilli was driving his Honda northbound on Lake Acworth Drive approaching Ragsdale Road, police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said. At the same time, the driver of a Ford F250, which was towing a boat, was traveling southbound.

The truck driver, identified as Christopher Wingard, 37, of Acworth, turned left onto Ragsdale, Pierce said. The motorcycle driver, who tried to avoid a collision, struck the right rear corner of the truck and then the boat and trailer.

Sistilli and the motorcycle became wedged between the boat and the trailer, Pierce said. Sistilli fell off the motorcycle just before the vehicles came to a stop on Ragsdale.

Sistilli was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Neither Wingard nor his passenger, Jonathan Cogdill of Acworth, were injured.
