Mark your calenders, folks.

Lilburn's brand new city hall complex is planned to open to the public ahead of schedule on Oct. 18. An open house will follow at 10 a.m. on Oct. 29, according to the city's Facebook page.

Hogan Construction Group is wrapping up work on the property, which includes a 24,000 square-foot government building, a 20,000 square-foot branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library and a clock tower.

The project, which broke ground in June 2015 on the northern corner of Church and Main streets, cost $11.3 million of Special-Purpose Local-Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) funds.

It will become the Lilburn Police Department and Municipal Court, the city said on social media.
