The Lawrenceville City Council voted recently to approve upgrades to the existing Lawrenceville Lawn that will include additional electrical outlets, additional potable water locations, and a new stone knee wall to provide additional seating during events.

The contract for the work will go to the lowest bidder, Surfaces Group LLC for $253,061 and is funded by the 2014 SPLOST Fund.

In addition to these upgrades, the city has received an offer from the Lawrenceville Women’s Club and Gwinnett VFW to provide funds that will pay for a flagpole and flag within the Lawrenceville Lawn.
