Perhaps the two young men were broke and desperately needed to study for a test.

The motive is unknown, but Alpharetta police are searching for two suspects who stole seven “Employment Law For Business” books from a bookstore on the Gwinnett Technical College campus in Alpharetta.

The theft occurred on March 15 at 1:13 p.m., police said. The suspects were recorded on surveillance video.

An employee told police the suspects seemed “suspicious,” and it was later determined they had stolen the books. Prior to the theft, the suspects were seen exiting a dark four-door sedan — possibly a Nissan Maxima — with an unknown driver, which left when the suspects entered the building, police said.

The suspects were last seen walking away from the bookstore toward Avalon, police said.

Police identified the suspects as two 18- to 24-year-old white males.

Anyone with information about the theft should contact the Alpharetta Police Department by using its Submit A Crime Tip button on their Facebook page.
