Weather permitting, contractors plan to close lanes on Ga. 400 overnight in the coming days as part of I-285/400 interchange upgrades.

The closures, which are part of a major redesign of the interchange, start Sunday and run through next Friday, March 10, the Georgia Department of Transportation said.

The times and locations are:

  • Sunday through Friday, nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. One right lane on 400 southbound between Abernathy Road and Hammond Drive.
  • Sunday through Friday, nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. One left lane on the 400 southbound exit ramp to Hammond Drive.
  • Monday through Friday, nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Alternating right lanes on 400 northbound and southbound between the Glenridge Connector and Hammond Drive.
  • Monday through Friday, nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. One left lane from Johnson Ferry Road to the Hammond Drive entry ramp from I-285 eastbound into 400 northbound.

The times may change due to weather or other factors, GDOT said. Real-time information on work status and traffic conditions are available by calling 511, visiting 511ga.org or checking the Georgia 511 app.
