Over 11 acres near State Route 74 has been gifted to the city of Fairburn.

A local business has gifted 11.55 acres of land to the city of Fairburn, which will be used for economic development and community development opportunities. The newly acquired property is in close proximity to Highway 74 and located next to the previously donated Park and Ride parcel. The parcel has frontage along the proposed roadway from Harris Road to Milam Road, which is partially constructed and at completion will be an alternate for local traffic and provide inter-parcel access to the businesses along State Route 74.

In addition to the 11.55 acres, the company donated 20 acres of land to the city of Fairburn in December 2015. The previously bestowed 20 acres is the future site of the Fairburn Park and Ride facility, which will be constructed in 2018.
