A Lamborghini driver was killed Friday night on Browns Mill Road when he apparently lost control of the luxury sports car, DeKalb Fire Capt. Halani Lobdell told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“Speed was definitely a factor,” she said.

The Lamborghini had pulled out of a subdivision and headed toward Panola Road when the driver lost control and hit two other cars before crashing into the treeline, flipping over and catching on fire, Lobdell said.

The driver has not been identified. Three other people received minor injuries, Lobdell said.

“It happened so fast,” said Mike Franklin, whose vehicle was hit in the incident.

He said the white Lamborghini was trying to overtake him on the left and collided head-on with another vehicle before his car was hit.

After Franklin’s vehicle came to a rest, his first thought was, “Thank God I’m alive,” he said.
