Fire crews are battling flames at inside a Humphries Drive church in southeast Atlanta, officials said.

About 8 p.m., crews got a call about the fire inside the Victory Baptist church, Atlanta fire Sgt. Cortez Stafford told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Stafford said “a good portion” of the church was on fire, especially the roof and attic.

“We are still putting water on it because it if the roof collapse it could injure firefighters inside,” he said.

The fire has not spread to the connecting school, Stafford said.

No injuries have been reported.
