A grand jury indicted a Coffee County woman on a manslaughter charge after police say she stabbed a Florida man to death during an argument about a phone.

Ruby Jean Clay is accused of killing 28-year-old Robert Maxwell in January, Pompano Beach police spokeswoman Joy Oglesby said in a news release.

Witnesses told police the 20-year-old Douglas woman argued with Maxwell over a cellphone on Jan. 27, Oglesby said. That fight escalated until Clay allegedly stabbed Maxwell to death and then took the phone and walked away.

Deputies arrested Clay about an hour later, after police dogs tracked her down.

Clay is being held on $75,000 bond, according to jail records.
