An icy road caused a vehicle to crash into a preschool Thursday in DeKalb County, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Driver Lisa Blaize said her SUV slid all the way down Stone Mountain Street in Lithonia and into the porch of Early Preparatory Academy, the news station reported. An entire side of the porch was damaged.

“The car just started swerving in the road,” Blaize said, “and then when I realized what happened I was in the porch.”

Blaize said she bumped her head but had no injuries.

No one at the preschool was injured, as staff members were inside at the time.

“We knew something dangerous happened,” said Dr. Lisa Smith of Early Preparatory Academy. “It was a big crash.”
