Figuring out the safest apartments in Sandy Springs just got a heck of a lot easier.

You can find the recently-launched "Apartment Safety Checker Map" on the Sandy Springs website, which compiles data from the city and Fulton County. It was created in conjunction with the Sandy Springs Police.

The map provides the numbers of incidents reported within apartment complexes, and there's also a ranked list of properties based on a crime-per-unit index. The data is from 2015 and should be updated in January.

The worst-ranked complex last year was Sierra Creek, which placed 109 calls for service to the police department and 13 calls to the fire rescue department. It had 11 criminal charges, which ranged from loitering to vehicle theft.
