The Johns Creek fire department will teach an invaluable lesson on safety in a few weeks.

On Feb. 25, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., certified child passenger safety technicians will show parents and caregivers how to properly install car seats and child restraints.

The free class will be at Fire Station 61 at 10265 Medlock Bridge Parkway.

The technicians will not install the car seat for you, but they will demonstrate and educate parents and caregivers on how to properly install one.

The fire department asks that you bring the car seat manufacturer’s manual and instructions with you to the event.
