There’s probably a bunch of stuff under your sink or in your garage that you don’t know what do with.

Is that stuff cool to use even though you got it during the Bush presidency? The first Bush presidency?

Well, Cobb County is hosting a “hazardous waste” event to help you out: you hand over the shady stuff under your sink, and the county properly disposes of it all.

The event will be at Jim R. Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road, on June 24 from 9 a.m. to noon.

And if you were really ambitious about that fresco that never happened, know that the county will only take 10 gallons of paint per vehicle.

Here’s what you can bring:

• Mercury

• Aerosols

• Batteries

• Adhesives

• Flammables

• Photo chemicals

• Lawn care products

• Fluorescent light bulbs

• Hobby and artist supplies

• Paint and paint-related products

• Cleaners and swimming pool chemicals

Here’s what you can’t bring:

• Ammunition

• Pharmaceuticals

• Agricultural waste

• Radioactive materials

• Biohazardous/biomedical waste
