About 25 miles of Henry County roads will be resurfaced under a plan approved by commissioners.

The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted recently on two separate measures impacting various roads. A resurfacing project involving 30 roads and a total of about 16 miles was approved at a cost of $4,465.503.08 with CW Matthews submitting the low bid.

Ten of those roads will be funded through SPLOST, 19 of them through a Local Maintenance Improvement Grant and one road with a combination of both funding sources. In a separate vote, triple surface treatment for about 8.35 miles of roads in Districts 1 and 3 was approved to be done by Middle Georgia Paving for $593,387.50. These are also funded through SPLOST and LMIG.
