The Henry County Board of Commissioners approved the purchase of five new Braun ambulances for the Henry County Fire Department at its Sept. 6 regular Commission meeting.

The cost for the vehicles is $1,071,050. The purchase of two Zoll Cardiac Monitors and three Zoll Auto Pulse CPR Devices were also approved for $89,519.56. In a related resolution, the HCFD was also awarded the purchase of two Pierce Stock Saber pumper trucks, purchased through the Fleet Services budget at a cost of $870,010. Funds for this equipment for each purchase is a part of the capital purchase project approved at the board’s Aug. 1 meeting.
