LifeLine Animal Project is offering half price on some dog and cat adoptions during the month of May.

The promotion applies to cats and all dogs weighing more than 25 pounds. The fee includes spaying/neutering, a microchip and vaccinations.

Without the promotion, dogs cost $95 and cats cost $75. The price for dogs older than five, or the adoption of a dog or cat to a person older than 55, is $40.

The discount is valid at all LifeLine shelters, including DeKalb County Animal Services, Fulton County Animal Services, the LifeLine Dog House & Kitty Motel and the LifeLine Cat Adoption Center.

LifeLine, which was founded in 2002, has a habit of coming up with creative promotions centered around holidays and events. The non-profit donned dogs in green for a St. Patrick's Day deal in March, and it dressed them up like Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in November.
