Bell assaulted and robbed six women at their homes, physically assaulting them as they exited their cars, police said in a release. Two of the robberies occurred on Dec. 4 and four occurred on Dec. 10.

Police believe Bell followed each woman home from a grocery store or takeout restaurant. The women live in Lawrenceville and Duluth.

Shortly after one Dec. 4 robbery, surveillance video at a Lawrenceville Kroger showed Bell using a victim’s credit card, police said. Surveillance footage also showed Bell driving a green or teal Buick LeSabre. The images and a description of the car were circulated among Gwinnett County Police Department employees, and an officer stopped Bell in a LeSabre matching the description Tuesday morning. Bell was arrested without incident.

Bell is being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center. Bond information wasn’t immediately available.
