It’s time to register your child for kindergarten in Gwinnett County.

It may be hard to let go of your little one and load them onto the school bus, but it’s not difficult to register them for school.

Parents and guardians must go to their child's school's website and register online. A directory of school websites can be found here. If you do not know which school your child will attend, you can call the Gwinnett County Schools Planning Department at 678-301-7085.

After beginning registration online, parents must complete registration in person at their child’s school on May 4. Parents will need to submit birth records and health information, and each school will have events for incoming kindergarten students. Students will be able to participate in activities and become familiar with their new school.

All children living in Gwinnett County who are five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2017 are eligible to begin kindergarten.
