Want to get married without all the stress of planning a wedding? Gwinnett County may have a solution for you.

In honor of the county’s bicentennial, Chief Magistrate Judge Kristina Hammer Blum and Probate Judge Christopher Ballar will officiate a mass wedding ceremony on Jan. 18 at 1:18 p.m. Gwinnett County was founded in 1818.

Happy couples can bring up to six people to witness the ceremony, which will be held at the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse in Lawrenceville. You must have a marriage license before the day of the event, and you must pre-register by calling 770-822-5450.

Newly wedded couples and their guests may also participate in a celebratory reception after the ceremony for $15 per person. Pre-registration is also required and can be done by calling the same phone number.
