Snellville officials will dedicate a new 9/11 memorial Monday evening.

The memorial was made by Eagle Scout Keval Parag Amin using steel from the World Trade Center, one of the sites attacked on Sept. 11, 2001. Amin got the steel from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

The steel will be displayed atop an aluminum pole, surrounded by foliage and a walkway on the front lawn of Snellville City Hall.

Amin and Snellville Mayor Tom Witts will speak at the dedication ceremony Monday at 6 p.m.
