A suspect has been arrested after a double shooting in Snellville where a note written in blood was left at the scene.

Trevaughn McBrier, 18, was arrested by Gwinnett County and Henry County sheriff’s deputies in Stockbridge on Saturday. He has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and probation violation.

Andre Devost, 30, and a 14-year-old boy were shot Thursday on Highpoint Court in unincorporated Snellville. Devost was shot in the face and flown to Grady Memorial Hospital after initially being taken to Eastside Medical Center. The 14-year-old was shot in the back. Both have survived their injuries, according to Gwinnett County police.

Police identified McBrier as the shooting suspect Thursday evening. On Saturday, police learned McBrier was in Henry County and “wanted to turn himself in,” according to a Gwinnett County Police Department release.

McBrier is being held without bond at the Gwinnett County Detention Center.
