Original story: Ovation 11 Cinema Grill has failed two health inspections within a one-week period, county records show.

The Lawrenceville dine-in movie theater scored a 68/U on a March 17 inspection and a 60/U on its follow-up inspection on March 21.

The inspector saw employees touch food and clean plates after touching their beards and hair during the March 21 inspection. Other employees weren’t wearing beard restraints while preparing food, the report said. Sushi rice did not have a label indicating how old it was, and some cooled foods including salsa and tomatoes were kept at too warm a temperature, according to the report.

The dine-in theater on Scenic Highway has only been open since December. It earned a 87/B on a January health inspection.

“This situation is unacceptable, and we have taken steps to ensure everything has been corrected immediately,” said Ryan Noonan, a spokeman for Ovation’s parent company, AMC. “In addition, we are undergoing a thorough evaluation to ensure this location meets our high standards for safety and quality.”
