Gwinnett County’s population larger than 76 Georgia counties combined

You could fit the populations of 76 of Georgia’s smallest counties in Gwinnett County and you’d still have room for 5,000 more people.

Gwinnett County’s population grew to 907,135 in 2016, a small increase of 1.6 percent from the previous year. Since 2010, the county has grown by 12.6 percent, from a population of 805,305.

If you combine the populations of Georgia’s 76 least populated counties, the total is still less than Gwinnett County’s total population. From tiny Taliaferro County, which has 1,593 residents, to Franklin County’s 22,320, the total of all 76 counties is 902,113.
