A Snellville burger spot is reopening almost a year to the day after it closed abruptly.

Burger 21 on Scenic Highway will be open once more on August 14. The restaurant closed "due to a complexity of factors" on August 19, 2016, the company said at the time.

The success of Burger 21 locations at the Mall of Georgia and in Johns Creek helped make the reopening of the Snellville location possible, said Corley Steward, the restaurant’s owner.

Steward and his family have renovated the Snellville restaurant and used the yearlong closure to plan for the restaurant's relaunch. Steward assumed ownership of the restaurant after it closed last year, according to the restaurant's Facebook page.

There will be giveaways in honor of the reopening, though they have not yet been announced, according to the Facebook page.
