Get your dog and clear some space on your desk for a new bobblehead: The Gwinnett Braves have announced their preliminary promotional schedule for 2017.
The AAA Braves affiliate will open the season on Thursday, April 6 against the Durham Bulls. Guests will get a free T-shirt and can watch fireworks after the game. Those attending in a group of four can purchase the “Triple Play Thursday” package, which includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for $40 (a $56 savings). That promotion will be available every Thursday of the season.
Other weekly promotions include:
- Dog Day Monday, when a ticket on the Coolray Field berm also admits your dog
- Two-for-Tuesday, when two dugout seats can be purchased for the price of one
- Sunday Funday, when fans can play catch on the field before the 1:05 p.m. game and children 12 and under can run the bases after the game.
Bobbleheads will be given to the first 2,500 guests at the May 13, June 10, July 22 and Aug. 26. Baseball Hall of Famer Phil Niekro, Gwinnett Braves radio broadcaster Tony Schiavone and players Rio Ruiz and Sean Kazmar Jr. will all be featured on the bobbleheads.
Other giveaways include beach towels, T-shirt jersey replicas and baseball caps.
There will be seven games featuring post-game fireworks: Thursday, April 6; Saturday, May 13; Saturday, June 24; Tuesday, July 4; Saturday, July 22; Saturday, Aug. 12; and Saturday, Sept. 2.
