The Gwinnett Animal Shelter is full and needs some pets to be adopted or rescued in order to make more space, the Gwinnett County Police Department said.

The department tweeted that the shelter had reached capacity Monday night. The municipal shelter has filled all of its kennels and cages multiple times this summer, each time asking that potential adopters and rescue groups help lighten the load.

It may be a little easier for you to take home a new pet through the end of the month: the shelter is running a discount on dog and cat adoptions in August. Through Thursday, cats have an adoption fee of $10 and dogs have an adoption fee of $20.
