Douglas County’s “A Day On, Not a Day Off”

This community day of service means manifesting the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. into action by giving back instead of using that day as one of rest. The county’s is to complete several renovation projects. Cleaning supplies, paint, landscaping materials, signage, new workout equipment are needed as well as people to paint, to clean up, to install the equipment, and more. Organizations and businesses are invited to “adopt” a room in the Senior Center and re-do the whole thing from bottom to top.

When: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 18

Where: Douglas County Senior Center, 6287 Fairburn Road, Douglasville.

Contact: County District 1 Commissioner Henry Mitchell III at 770-920-7266 or hmitchell@co.douglas.ga.us
