Help clean-up Chattahoochee River

Colonial Pipeline Co. will join forces with longtime partner Chattahoochee Riverkeeper to help clean up a stretch of the Chattahoochee River in the Atlanta area. Volunteers from the general public are also encouraged to attend. A team of approximately 80 Georgia-based company employees will join staff and volunteers from Chattahoochee Riverkeeper to patrol, on foot, riverbanks and the water’s edge. Participants will collect trash and other items polluting the environment and creating an eyesore and potential hazards for users of the waterway and trails. Items collected will be recycled wherever possible. Non-recyclable trash will be properly disposed and managed.

When: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 16

Where: The exact spot along the river is yet to be determined, based on river conditions and where trash is most likely to collect.
