Newnan Christmas Tour of Homes needs volunteers

The Newnan Christmas Tour of Homes is a walking tour that gives participants a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see beautiful homes dating from the early 1900s decorated with fresh wreaths, garlands and floral arrangements. Guests may tour the homes at their own pace For those who aren’t comfortable walking, a complimentary shuttle bus is available with stops along the tour.

The McRitchie-Hollis Museum will serve as the ticket center of this year’s tour. The museum will also have refreshments. There is parking behind the McRitchie-Hollis Museum which is also a stop for the complimentary shuttle.

“We need a few more people to help with the Tour of Homes,” said NCHS VP Ginny Lyles. Shifts are available 3:30 pm - Volunteers are needed for a variety of duties.

A portion of the proceeds will help the Coweta Samaritan Clinic, a non-profit organization that offers free medical care to the uninsured residents of Coweta County.

When: shifts are 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2

Variety of volunteer opportunities at ABC

The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition has a lot going on this fall. With so much ahead, it is seeking help with tasks around the office to keep the organization on target.

Volunteers in the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition office, will be assisting with the essential clerical tasks, like data entry and database management, member and volunteer phone calls, mailings, other membership fulfillment and event preparations.

Two- to four-hour shifts are available on the first and third Fridays.

Help FLRC with Toys for Tots program

Volunteers are needed at the Family Life Restoration Center for Unwrap the Gift of Love Toys for Tots Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 16. Thanks to the United States Marine Corp Toys for Tots, for helping the center make sure that children from 500 families will have something to unwrap on Christmas.
