The Georgia Department of Transportation will hold a public information open house about a new interchange on the State Route 10 loop in Athens between 4 and 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at Clarke Central High School-Gladiator Gallery (Gym), 350 South Milledge Avenue in Athens. This project proposes to improve the S.R. 10 Loop at U.S. 78/S.R. 10/Atlanta Highway Interchange to include Jennings Mill Road realignment. These improvements include lane upgrades with variable raised medians, sidewalks, shoulders, and left and right turn lanes at various locations.
The open house will provide the public with an opportunity to view the project, ask questions, and comment on the project. The event will be informal, and the public is invited to attend. There will be no formal presentation. A court reporter will be available to allow the public an opportunity to make verbal comments about the project.
