Overnight lane closures are scheduled this week on I-285 and Mount Vernon Road in the Sandy Springs-Dunwoody area in preparation for the reconstruction of the Ga. 400/I-285 interchange. GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced additional overnight lane closures this week in the Perimeter area of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody in preparation for the reconstruction of the Ga. 400/I-285 interchange.

The closures, weather permitting, are scheduled for 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly.

Through Aug. 17, GDOT construction partners will close one right lane of eastbound I-285 from Roswell Road to Glenridge Drive for geotechnical investigations and guardrail repairs.

Through Aug. 18, tree-clearing crews will close lanes around the intersection of Mount Vernon Highway and Barfield Road. One eastbound right lane and one westbound left turn lane of Mount Vernon, and one northbound right lane of Barfield, will be closed.
