Tahja “Mayhem” Williams, leader of the 62 Brim street gang, is headed to prison for setting up the drive-by shooting that killed a 15-year-old DeKalb County girl in the crossfire.

The 26-year-old, who has “RIP” tattooed on his Adam’s apple, was found guilty of murder for Keaira Palmer’s death, the district attorney’s office announced Friday.

On Aug. 3, Williams set up the shooting to get back at rival gang members who had robbed him and then bragged about it, authorities have said. It happened outside the S & N convenience store on Glenwood Road, near Keaira’s apartment.

She was walking out of the store and was shot as the gangsters fired at each other.

Williams and six gang members were charged with murder in her death. But the others — Mike Miller, Roderick Jackson, Roderick Harris, Tareco Jenkins and Sharrod Jackson — pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and gang charges. They were sentenced to 25 years to serve.

Judge Mark Anthony Scott sentenced Williams to life without parole.
