For people who have been arrested but never convicted, record restriction is a legal way to clear arrest records, the county said.

Fulton County will hold a record restriction summit from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday April 29 at the Martin Luther King Sr. Community Resources Complex, 101 Jackson St. N.E. in Atlanta.

For people who have been arrested but never convicted, the record restriction process is a legal way to clear arrest records. It restricts eligible records on a person’s official criminal history report from public view and makes them visible only to law enforcement for criminal justice purposes, according to Fulton County.

Those eligible for record restriction include anyone arrested by the Fulton County sheriff, Fulton County police department or any of the 14 cities in Fulton County.

Online pre-registration for the summit is open until March 24.
