The Forsyth County Fire Department invites residents to brighten the holidays of needy children by donating to the annual Aerial’s House toy collection. The initiative is named for a firefighting apparatus, the aerial ladder truck.

“This year is the 16th year of our Aerial’s House program, and it has become a staple of the firefighter outreach program during the holiday season,” Forsyth County Fire Division Chief Jason Shivers said. “It has been a joy to watch the growth of community support for this program each year.”

New, unwrapped toys for children, ages newborn to 18 years old, can be dropped off through Dec. 15 at any Forsyth County fire station or the Fire Department headquarters at 3520 Settingdown Road.

Starting in December, donations also can be left under the Christmas tree in the lobby of the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., Cumming.
