First-time student registration for Forsyth County Schools available at the Almon C. Hill Education Center, 136 Almon C. Hill Drive, but parents need to prepare first.

Step one is to select a specific date and time from the online appointment calendar: fcsapps.forsyth.k12.ga.us/OnlineAppts/. It’s a calendar only for students not currently enrolled.

The next order of business is preregistration, during which parents will be entering information about their child, including family and contact info and emergency contacts. Parents are being warned not do do this step using a cellphone or tablet.

Finally, parents need to gather several pieces of required documentation to bring including parent/legal guardian photo ID, proof of residency, student proof of age, an immunization certificate and another for vision hearing, dental and nutrition. A social security card and any needed custody documents also need to be included.

First-time students need to be five years old on or before Sept. 1 to register for kindergarten and six years old on or before Sept. 1 for first grade.
