Fayette County seat open on mental health council

Fayette County is accepting applications for an open seat on the Region Six Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Addictive Diseases Regional Advisory Council. The all-volunteer board helps the Region Six Regional Office prepare an annual plan for providing a variety of services for families, customers, providers and advocacy groups in central-western Georgia.

The council meets 1-4 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every other month in Thomaston. The open term begins upon selection and serves through February 2021. Applications are at www.fayettecountyga.gov and are due Jan. 12.
