Lt. Fidel Espinoza ain’t havin’ it, clowns.

After two reported sightings in Dunwoody, he issued a stern warning to those who would bring the "creepy clown" prank sweeping the nation to this DeKalb County town. Dunwoody 911 callers said they saw clowns lurking Wednesday night in the area of Old Spring House Lane and Chamblee-Dunwoody Road and around some apartments on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

One of them was said to have a machete.

“I was really hoping this silly clown business wasn’t going to end up in Dunwoody, but apparently that’s not the case,” Espinoza said in a video posted Wednesday night on the city police Facebook page.

“So I want to make myself very clear…”

Clear that anyone who suits up in clown gear to scare people is liable to get hurt.

Clear that they could end up hurting someone else.

Clear that they “most certainly” can get arrested.

“We’d ask you put away your clown outfits and do something a little more productive,” Espinoza said.
